Jared Lees and I just had a great bass tracking and writing session. The bass tracks were cut at Warmouth and sound awesome. I can hardly wait to get this one out to you. This song is a high energy power trio guitar romp. We also wrote the beginnings of another song - we called it sprites for now. It has a jazzy/blues rock kind of feel, but is very lighthearted. Jared tracked the scratch tracks for a solo bass piece ( I would like to steal from him ) that is sounding very impressive.

Rise is starting to take shape

I have gotten a few of the songs going for the new CD. I already have a track called Stingray that Prashant Aswani and I have cut the leads for. Brian Glodde has cut the bass tracks and it has really taken shape. This track has a very laid back groove. Mike Dolsen wrote the main theme played on layered synths and has some acoustic guitar mixed in. I played a little funky clean guitar rythm part to add to the groove. I'll keep you updated as the songs come together. I hope to release the album in 2010.

Booking shows in 2010

I am booking shows for spring and summer 2010. I am trying a few new kinds of venues. I will be at Borders and Arabica as a solo act. These kind of venues are new to me. I had been used to booking the usual clubs or the House of Blues, but I felt like it was time for a change. These kinds of venues will provide a place where those of you who are under 21 years old can come and hear me play. I look forward to these upcoming shows and hope that you will show up and be able to enjoy the music.

I am also beginning to work for Morley pedals as an endorsed artist to play and demo thier products. This is shaping up to be an exciting year with the show bookings and I am also starting to record a 3rd album that I will call RISE.
